Climate and Clothing
Israel is a geographically diverse country and the weather varies greatly by locale. In March, even the coldest areas of the country, like the Golan Heights and Mount Hermon in the north, begin to warm up and experience a high number of sunny but crisp days. Tel Aviv is pleasant, with temperatures averaging between 60 and 75 degrees F, and Jerusalem is just a few degrees cooler. Southern Israel and the Red Sea coast are sunny and warm both day and night during March.
For the cities, jeans and short-sleeve shirts should be fine and a lightweight jacket for nighttime is a good idea.
IST (Israel Standard Time) UTC/GMT +2 hours .
Banking and Exchange
The Israeli monetary system is Shekel. Foreign currency may be changed at banks, airports, and very often at major hotels (generally at a less convenient rate).
All major credit cards are acceptable in most hotels, restaurants and shops.
All visitors are required to have a valid passport, and for some countries, a visa is required.
For more information please contact your nearest Embassy, Consulate or local travel agency well in advance. It is the responsibility of the participant to obtain a visa if required.
The conference organizers cannot accept liability for personal injuries sustained, or for loss or
damage of property belonging to congress participants (or their accompanying persons),
either during, or as a result of the course.
Letter of Invitation
The letter of Invitation is meant to help participants raise travel funds or obtain a visa, and does not represent a commitment on the part of the organizers to provide any financial support. Please turn to the conference secretariat to receive the letter of invitation.
